After speaking with thousands and thousands of alcoholics, addicts and their family members, as the director of a statewide crisis line, David Westbrook, MS., realized that he could only share a small part of the knowledge useful to anyone searching for information on the process of getting off drugs and alcohol which often starts with a detox center, over the phone.  This realization, and the realization that many more people could be reached via the internet, lead him to put together a team to build a suite of websites for individuals seeking resources for recovery on a variety of topics.

David obtained a Certificate of Addictions Counseling (CAC) in 1997. He holds an MS in Conflict Resolution and has spent nearly a decade as the director of a statewide alcohol and drug treatment referral and crisis line. He has spent thousands of hours in consultation with individuals impacted by the twin diseases of alcoholism and addiction.
